Five rounds of racing have been announced for the newly established MotorsportSales Enduro Champs by category manager, Ontic Sports.
The MotorsportSales Enduro Champs season will be contested over four states with the Australian Motor Racing Series (AMRS). The events will employ a range of endurance-based racing formats while competitors will be able to choose from a to be announced selection of tyre manufacturers.
The title chase will commence at Sydney Motorsport Park with four x one-hour races across March 6-7.
The series will then travel to Winton Motor Raceway (June 11-13), Queensland Raceway (August 6-8) and Wakefield Park Raceway (October 22-24) with two x two-hour races contested at each of these events.
The season finale will then be held at South Australia’s Tailem Bend Raceway with a four-hour epic to close out the six-round calendar in style across December 3-5.
“Endurance racing is something very special for Australia’s motorsport enthusiasts and we are very excited to be able to unveil this action-packed MotorsportSales Enduro Champs calendar for 2021,” Ontic Sports General Manager, Troy Williams, said.
“With five rounds across five amazing venues located in four states and with an array of racing formats including a four-hour epic to close out the year; we are extremely excited about this upcoming season.
“After the year we have all had, we are very excited to deliver this calendar in 2021, ensuring that endurance racing remains accessible and affordable for our competitor community.”
AMRS Series Manager, Matt Baragwanath, said he was looking forward to hosting the MotorsportSales Enduro Champs as part of an action-packed 2021 AMRS season.
“We have worked very closely with the senior management team at Ontic Sports to ensure MotorsportSales Enduro Champs competitors receive the maximum amount of track time at hassle-free events,” Baragwanath said.
“AMRS 2021 is going to be action-packed with great racing from brilliant categories and everything from night racing to a finale at the world-class venue of Tailem Bend – we can’t wait!”
Entries for the MotorsportSales Enduro Champs are open to competitors including eligible Production Cars, X3 Excels, RX8 Cup Cars, V8 Utes, Toyota 86 Series, Saloon Cars, Pulsars and Mini Challenge vehicles.
